Best home land line phone with the new technology. Where has this phone been??? blew thru two bad ones already....
PROS: nice feel to the handset.
Has a belt clip which helps hang on to the handset.
Has a phone jack...extra good for those long waits.
Has a speaker built into the handset so you can set it upright and talk or watch the display.
Many nice and mellow ring tones.
Blue back lit key pad which is easy to hit (not flat or cell phone like)
Volume on side is easy when you get used to it because who wants to take the phone away from their ear to figure this out...
Super base recording machine...everything up front...no fumbling for buttons that are on top or side...plus the antenna keeps eveything super clear...wall mount if you want.
Handsets in sync for programming...and can transfer calls...
Any key answer...simply hang up if done with call.
CID numbers save to directory.
No speed dial....but kind of not happening with any phone now...need to use the directory or phone book alpha entry..
Crystal clear...had to have ATT check my line as I had a slight low static...now gone.
Made by V Tech.
This phone will take care of home needs with style and quality. Looks cool too.
If you want a more cell phone type style check out the sleek siver faced ATT one or maybe Motorola.

What they don't mention:
Can't assign ring tone to a specific caller in the directory (phonebook).
Need DSL filters...but kind of a given.

CONS: Handset slightly wobbly in the cradle so have to be careful.
Can't access answering machine from handset, but stored CID gives you an idea if you want to call back or go listen.

This is a great buy! The sound is very clear, it rings nicely, it's comfortable to hold, etc. I would recommend this item if you are looking for a sleek phone that is easy to use for a good price.

...and that is the ability to listen to messages from the handsets. My previous cordless phones had this capability and it was so convenient since you could listen to them no matter where you were in the house! Other than that, the phone has worked well for me. I particularly like the shared phone book so you don't have to enter numbers on each handset. I also like the slim profile, the viewing screen, range and the clarity of sound. All in all, a really good purchase and I'm a very happy camper!

I am using this phone with Vonage VOIP. I like the voice quality of this phone including the speakerphone voice quality. The design is sleek. The range is pretty good too. With moderate usage (~ 3hrs talktime) the handsets went for a week without recharging. Even though AT&T recommends putting the phone back on the charger after every use -- they claim that the phone wont overcharge -- I still dont like to do that as it could shorten the battery life due to memory effects. Another cool feature is that if you add a number to the directory of one handset, the other handset automatically gets updated.

Among few improvements that could certainly help: Lets say you want to add a number to the phone book. If you enter the number and then look for a way to save it.. you are out of luck. The only way to add a number to the phone book is to press Menu - > Directory - > Store and then enter the number. It is not a big deal but definitely is a little bit cumbersome. Also, the speakerphone design has some flaws. If you are on the speakerphone and you put the phone facing up on your lap or table to free both your hands, the speakers get completely blocked and produce muffled voice. The quick fix I used was to attach the belt clip on the back of the phone, which created some separation between the speakers and the surface on which the phone was resting. This way I can talk on the speakerphone hands free with clear voice quality.

Overall, a good buy. I bought mine from Target store at $59.99 to save on shipping, but had to paid the taxes :(
