J. M. Shanahan ( usa ) I have the panasonic installed and am using it. It works great, has a great distance, and is always clear. HOWEVER, it is terrible to do anything but talk on it. To look for caller-id takes at least 3 steps, it does not have a beep for phone messages, I still have not conferenced the two lines because it is not obvious (I have 30+ years of programming experience so I should be able to use it.) My wife was so unhappy with the phones that she had me reinstall the UNIDEN 2 line phone system along side the panasonic. I have entered numbers in the phone book at the base, however to get them to the handsets it appears you need to transfer each one individually. The human interface for this phone is completed unacceptable. I will not buy another panasonic device without extensive research, and then only if a comparable one is not available from another manufacturer.

J. Hault ( Columbus, OH ) I used a Panasonic KX-TG2740 2.4Ghz 2 line for about 7 years. All I needed to do was replace batteries in the handsets every year or so. This was the most reliable system I have ever used. In December one of the handsets started to die. This meant that it was time to replace the system. I read a lot of reviews and narrowed my choices to the Panasonic KX-TG9382T or the Uniden DECT4086. The Uniden was less expensive so we decided to try it. In less than 30 days the Uniden started having strange problems where you could not disconnect a call. Amazon and their third party reseller took everything back with no problems. I quickly ordered the Panasonic and have not had any issues. My only complaint is the layout of the buttons and the display. The display indicator for the ringing line does not line up with the button to answer that line. Other than that I am hoping for another 7 years of good service before I need to buy another cordless system.
Skip the Uniden and go straight for the Panasonic. You will be much happier.

Wilson M Jones The styling is terrific.....I really like it. On the other hand, this model is much more challenging to operate. First of all, the one-touch access to voice mail has been removed from this model (earlier models had it); there are three motions you have to execute to access voice mail. this makes no sense at all. The ring tone is shrill and irritating and it cannot be changed. To erase 'all' entries from the system, you must use the base station because the memory on the individual phones don't seem to communicate with the base station when you erase on one, the information remains on the other phones and the base station.

D. Handy ( Oakland, CA ) I have loved all the Panasonic phones I've had in the past. This one not so much. The highest volume is not very high so forget it if you don't have perfect hearing. It is difficult to read some buttons on the handset because the buttons are very small and some are the same color as the phone (black). Excellent range and high tech features.

Big Al ( middle Georgia ) These are great phones (purchased the base with 2 extension sets). All Panasonic phones I have had have been great -- battery life, range, sound quality, etc. You can't go wrong with this system.
