Customer's Reviews (All-Reviews)
The device has not been working properly . Most of the time the computer states does it is not recognizing the device. Recommendation to plug it in again. Has worked after 4 to 10 efforts, but sometimes never. I regret this purchase, and will not order anything over the net anymore.

On Day 1 after 7 hours of charging, the base handset went "searching" when only 5 feet from the base. When I push TALK to dial a number, the signal goes awry, breaking up. The secondary handsets do not have this problem. I also found the setup directions incomplete and some parts difficult to understand. I do not recommend purchasing this this phone. I am returning to the store today.

I bought this phone three weeks ago. Last Saturday, one of the handsets stopped communicating with the base. I pored over the user's manual that came with the phone (useless), searched for more detailed information online (equally useless), and tried calling customer service. No answer, as they are only open M-F 8 am to 5 pm central time.
Tried their "24/7" customer service via the web... and nearly a week later have yet to receive a response to my query.
Meanwhile, I called on Monday to discuss the problem with a representative during their extremely constrained business hours. Spent 30 minutes on hold before I reached anyone (soon to discover that was a really short wait with Uniden!)In the midst of my conversation with the CS rep, our call got disconnected. I called back... and was on hold for TWO HOURS. (I kid you not.) They never actually picked up the phone again; I finally gave up.
Tuesday, I called again, this time bright and early in the morning. Spent another 45 minutes on hold, being told by a recorded voice every 3-4 minutes how "important" my call is to them. Finally got through, began to explain my problem to the CS rep, only to have her not listen to what I was saying and ask questions that I had just given her the answers to. Taking a moment to control my now...heightened...frustration, I took a couple deep breaths before apologizing for any anger that might creep into my voice and began to explain that I was left on hold for two hours the day before. Before I could finish, the CS rep told me she was going to put me back on hold "so I could calm down." Perhaps not the wisest move, eh?
So, here I am, livid and on hold. "Customer Service" comes back on, I tell her, perhaps not politely, that I don't want her to put me on hold without my permission again--and she immediately breaks in to say "you need to calm down and then you can talk to my supervisor." I finally got to talk with a supervisor who was marginally more helpful, and determined that the battery in my phone was defective. It can be replaced if I fax the receipt to the parts dept etc etc etc. Okay fine.
Three days later, down to two functioning handsets out of the three while I wait for the replacement battery... the same problem happens with another handset. Hmm, do you suppose it might have been something other than the battery? Yeah, me too. So I've called "customer service" again... and as of this moment, I've been on hold for ONE HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES. In addition to hearing sales pitches for the same four items (thanks, not interested after my poor experience right here and now), I get to hear running patter about how much they appreciate my willingness to hold "just a moment longer" and that my call "is important" to them. "Rest assured that we'll be with you just as soon as we can; please hold just a moment longer."
Gosh. Somehow I don't really feel the love.
And if you're interested in buying this phone--or any product from Uniden--I respectfully suggest that you consider another option. Unless of course you're into being treated like crap once they've got your money.
