I reordered this headset and got a couple more. My first one lasted about 2 years before the wiring started to wear at the plug site, from heavy use. Not a defect in the product at all.
Putting on the set takes a little work if you wear earrings, but the sound quality and comfort are worth it. I especially like the added volume control on the headset itself. Allows for fine tuning of volume

This is the fifth time I'm buying this particular wired headset. Hey, they either wear out or break eventually - snagging the wire on a door handle or the wire wears out from rolling it up when not in use. It's not made of steel, so that's expected after months of use.

Hands down the most comfortable fit and sound quality for the money of any wired headset. Since my business phone is my wireless phone, I want to get the best audio quality possible out of my phone communication. Wired is still better than bluetooth for sound quality, so most of the time I'm using my cell phone I'm using this headset. This headset has been a winner for me.

I recently purchased this product from my local Staples store ($39.99 plus tax). I needed one ASAP since my job requires me to use a headset 8-10 hours a day. Later the same day I got online and found this deal. So for $6 more I get two of them delivered to me. Guess what I'm taking back to staples in a few days? As far as the product itself it does not get much better. I owned one of these a few years back and when it finally failed(at the switch) I replaced it with a less expensive model and missed the quality of this model. Now when it was time to get another, I did not hesitate to go back to the MX500. By far the best sounding and the microphone will not pickup almost anything except you. Highly recommended.

I have used a headset for my home for many years. In the past, I have always chosen a over the head style of headset because I know that it will always fit and be comfortable. I chose this style for a different perspective and I am very pleased. It is easy to put on and there is hardly any adjusting needed once in place. I am also very pleased with the audio quality on my end as well as on the receiving end.

I work at home everyday so this is very ideal, I tried a different headset (TCH) that I would have to replace every 3 months or so, so I guess we will see about this one. Although I am very happy with sound quality I do think a mute mechanism should be on the product.

I work from home so I was looking for a headset that was both comfortable and had some good sound quality. This unit ranks ok for comfort but the sound quality is marginal at best. People that I am talking to sound distant and some voices are slightly muffled. Next time I will spend more money on a higher quality product.

This headset works very well. The price was outrageously low. My product arrived brand-new, in a sealed box. I ordered it online one day, and the product arrived two days later. I used the previous version of the phone every day for about five years. The convenience is hard to beat. Slide the receiver into your pocket (or belt clip), put my head phone and almost forget that you're using a mobile phone. I used it for 4-5 hours at a time without feeling unpleasant. I do not know what to say to me this is the perfect phone. This model seems to achieve more and is less susceptible to interference from nearby Electronics (in my case, the microwave has caused cracks in the previous model)

I need this for the tele-conferences take from home. The upside: a good sound, light and very good batter life. On Delta, I was surprised to see that no speaker. I think I might have found that reading the list of features more closely. I was a little disappointed with the construction, as many critics pointed out, has a look of cheap plastic. Still, overall I like it - not buy for looks :-)

I'm 62 years old, wear hearing aids, and own and operate a busy, noisy bicycle shop. Until I got the Clarity C435 I could not find a place quiet enough to be able to actually hear the person on the other end of the line. Now I can be almost anywhere in the shop and carry on a phone conversion. The phone works perfectly and as advertised, and my young employees can easily turn the volume down when they use it.

I have spent months trying to find a good phone. I spent good money for several more expensive phones (two of them made by this same company) and they ended up in the trash. This pnone works great at a moderate price and out shines Clarity's more expensive phones. Many years ago I purchased a Walker W-400 model cordless phone for myself and one for my Mother. They were wonderful phones and we both just simply wore them out. I searched far and wide to get another Walker to no avail. Then I found out Walker merged with Clarity and another company and this phone was their replacement for the W-400. It looks different, more modern, but functions like the Walker phone--same features and more.

It is a great phone and is easy for those with hearing diffficulties to use. If you are looking for something with storage for important numbers, a loud ring tone, and clear sound, this is the one. You won't go broke buying it either

PLANTRONICS Walker Ameriphone Clarity C435 Cordless Telephone

I bought two of these phones; one for my 80 year old mother and one for me. Both of us have hearing issues but live on opposite ends of the country. The phone works great for my mother; she loves it. However, the phone did not work well for me. Everyone I talked to said that my voice sounded very "distant" so I put mine back in the box and will send it to her (so that she has a backup). I have to admit that 900 MHz phones have never worked well in my house - 2.4 GHz and higher tech phones, like DECT 6.0, have all worked fine in my house.

Thus, my review is mixed. Since my mother loved the phone, I would recommend it for senior citizens with hearing loss. The phone is simple, easy to use, and is quality-made, but it is outdated technology (e.g. 900 MHz).

Though not named as such on the product page, the telephone is now obsolete. It is no longer manufactured by CLARITY. I would not have known this unless I had received a defective unit to which the vendor could not offer technical support. Subsequently, I called CLARITY in TN and found out the 435 Model is no longer made. Model 4105 was recommended by CLARITY. We'll see how THAT (current)model functions.

After reading some of the reviews, we took a chance since the phone had the features we needed. After charging overnight, we tried using the phone and the first call was great. When we took it to another room the connection was gone & the phone started blinking. If you put it back on the base, picked it up & made a call immediately, everything was fine. If you took it from the base and tried to use it in a minute or so, it would not work. Called Clarity and they said the phone was not programmed to blink, we had a bad unit and to return it. Wish it had worked because this was for a Father's Day present and the features on the phone were exactly what we wanted. Returned the phone to Amazon - did not try a second one.
